Director of Business Development - Remote
Allied Resources Group (ARG), a Technical Consulting Firm with offices in the Northeast, Midwest, and West, is seeking a motivated, ambitious and goal-oriented Business Development professional to drive growth and sales for the group of companies. This position will be focused on selling technical services including engineering & design, project management, construction management, technical recruiting, and industrial inspection in the Midwest Region. ARG Companies provide services in a broad range of industrial markets including power, utilities, oil and gas, chemicals, industrial, metals, and material handling.
The individual will work with leadership across divisions to build a growth strategy aligned with the overall ARG mission. The individual will be selling to prospective and existing clients in traditional markets and diversify the company into other related industries.
Responsibilities
Perform and/or manage all phases of business development from sales strategies, new client development, client account management, market analysis, competitor intel, proposal & pricing generation, contract negotiation and oversight of the operational seller-doers. Our work spans all the phases of a project.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in technical services in the Midwest Region of the USA.
- Have a working knowledge and experience preferably supporting Engineering or Construction companies in the Industrial sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related areas is preferred, but experience may be substituted for education.
- Advanced interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to cold call, negotiate with clients and speak publicly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical information, financial reports, and legal documents.
Staff Accountant (ARG) - Exton, PA
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Accountant to manage project accounting functions within our business unit. This role will focus on project setup, billing processes, revenue recognition, and financial reporting to support effective project management.
This position is Hybrid requiring three days a week on-site at our Exton, Pennsylvania office or our Wyomissing office
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Project Accounting Management:
- Oversee all aspects of project accounting from initial setup to ongoing maintenance.
- Review and adjust time and expense charges for accuracy.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and timely billing processes.
- Conduct Work in Progress (WIP) analysis and reconciliation.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) reconciliation and collections.
Contract and Timesheet Oversight:
- Organize, track, and monitor project contracts.
- Review timesheets for hourly billing and prepare monthly invoices.
- Ensure accurate recording of new clients in the accounting system in compliance with contracts.
Documentation and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers to obtain necessary contract support documents and maintain electronic filing of executed contracts.
- Track unbilled hours and monitor project budgets.
Financial Reporting:
- Perform weekly reviews of aging work in progress.
- Post invoices in the accounting system and file contracts in designated folders.
- Prepare various reports for internal management to support project oversight.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete other duties as assigned to enhance team operations and project success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Prior billing and/or accounting experience preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently while accepting direction as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to client service with a team-oriented approach.
- Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
